spring has sprung.

Happy Easter, everyone! I must admit, fall has been my favourite season for quite some time now. However, when it comes to seasonal baked goods, spring really takes the cake! Everything is so fresh and colourful and delicious.


As you may have guessed, one of my favourite flavours is lemon. I make a lemon cake that has become a staple in our house and although I’d love to share the recipe with you, I can’t reveal all of my secrets! However, I’d love to share some insights with you regarding some simple decorating suggestions.


Without a doubt, fresh ingredients are the best ingredients. Accordingly, I believe that statement applies to the baking process AND the decorating process. Admittedly, I’m not the best cake decorator. That being said, fresh flowers and herbs are an amazing way to brighten up your delectable pastries and make them look like you spent hours decorating them. I also love to decorate with the ingredients in my products (lemons, mint, lavender, etc), while also featuring the bright colours of the season.
